Ignore Bernie bros and focus on Bernie and supporters like AOC.

There’s a great write up in the Times about the song and how it finally got to be number one, which includes perhaps the best thing I’ve ever read:

You make excellent points. There are no perfect candidates, but I’ll take Bernie’s consistency on issues from LGBTQ+ rights (he didn’t wait until 2012 to be in favor of gay marriage) to his support of women’s reproductive rights (before Roe v. Wade btw) to his passionate speech against the 1994 Crime bill (which he

Please make note of my comment directed towards Rooo above.

The point people seem to miss is that in the “classic model” of early stage startups (such as there is one), the people working 80-hour weeks have equity stakes in the business as part of their employment package. When that’s the case, you’re a part owner, so it’s not unreasonable to expect that you’ll do what is

Today’s Politico thinkpiece “Waiting on Obama” focuses on the idea that former President Obama might also be mucking about having a good long think in a cave before emerging to save the 2020 election.

When I saw the article I thought to myself, “Damn right she’s angry and she’s not the only one.”

Except that he was literally arrested during a civil rights protest in Chicago when he was 21.

I too knew those guys in college, but doesn’t Bernie have a very long history of activism, protesting, and organizing?

[I am not trying to convince you here; just to offer an alternative perspective if your question was not rhetorical. Thanks for your patience if you took the time to read this.]

Because he’s an actual leftist and they share the same anticapitalist values.

at a guess i’d say they don’t trust Warren on the basis that she hasn’t given any indication that she would be anything other than a status quo president when it comes to foreign policy and the military, whereas Bernie has always been vocally opposed to the military industrial complex (though how that would translate

Already knew this was going to be here:

I think Mariah truly deserves her diva status and I mean that in the best way possible. My mom used to work with Mariah’s older sister and it seems like their childhood was bleak and her family (mostly siblings) tried to suck her dry once she became famous.

I get where you’re coming from, but it’s part of the story. Any story that deals with a minority, the fact they’re a minority is often part of the story. It may not be a big deal in the world of the game, but it’s a big deal in this world where queer characters are rare and underserved.
