I just don’t think we need to live in a world where some cars have people paying no attention and are relying solely on sensors to keep them and everyone around them alive

Maybe VW should have used that excuse.
Agreed that the driver is at fault here for not paying attention when the system failed to work properly. But I’m posing a larger question here.
Imagine if this collision happened with a bus or other vehicle with people in it vs. a trailer with cargo, etc. Can’t imagine the legal implications for Tesla is others aside from the Tesla driver had been hurt or killed.
still in a public beta phase
I dont think he was saying they were the same, I think he meant that if Italy were to make something like an SRT Charger, it would be this.
My god, my 12 year old self works at Porsche!
Please tell me it keeps going and changes into a robot.
A client of mine tried to give his back to Tesla because he was pissed about quality issues. They resisted him and actually resorted to begging to get him to keep it.
I can’t say anything about reliability- but I finally saw one of these driving on the interstate yesterday, and man was that thing UGLY. Some sort of mix between a very bland suv/crossover and a concept car from the 80's or 90's that didn’t age well. Made me realize that there truly are people out there who nerd out…
Congratulations, Mr. KomradKickass, on COTD! I would like to gift you with an unstanced Ferrari which this lovely lady will deliver as soon as she wipes off her body prints.
Very.
Ikea? Girlfriend? Drivers license? Has a extra dollar?
If I wanted to deal with computers I would have been a computer technician rather than an auto enthusiast.
I’ve been saying this for years. Even the idiots can’t understand the idiot lights that tell them about the state of their headlights. And to complicate things, I don’t think there’s an industry standard. For instance, my wife’s CX-5 has DRLs, and when you turn ON the lights there’s a indicator that they are on. Back…
More people than you'd like to realize drive around like this, and it's not safe
I think the big change you missed is just the overall roofline smoothing out aft of the B pillar. It used to have a marked kink and change in direction at the top of the hatch, dictated by stringent headroom standards pushed by freakishly tall former CEO and hack takeover artist, Wendelin Wiedeking.
The big two design changes here are:
It’s amazing how close they were with previous models. With just a few nips and tucks this car finds itself among some of the most beautiful 4-doors.
