Absolutely. I go over the speed limit all the time. Not outrageous, but 7-10 over. Most cops don’t even bother with 10 or under. I know this because I have friends and families who are LEOs. As long as you’re driving like a dick, 10 over is not even something they would bother.

Accidents do happen, but we must have a higher level of expectations from people, or laws, that are there to vet accidents from happening.  

We hand out licenses by the stacks here in the States. You have people who are licensed, and don’t know how to parallel park, properly navigate through traffic circles, or yield to pedestrians.

I would be curious to see what the percentage of parents leaving their kids in the car that lead to injuries and death, say, 20, 30, 40 years ago, compared to today. Growing up, I didn’t hear a lot about kids dying in cars from being left behind. So, if what I’m thinking is correct, we are getting dumber parents.
