@Slid Pissed Tossed Mazda3hatch sideways into a effin DITCH: I share your disappointment at Detroit's continued inability to deliver hatches (or wagons) to North America. Those that did offer have always been de-contented junk cars — an effort to divert buyers from sedans into bloated utility vehicles rather than

So let me get this straight:

@stuntman_dan66: the Chrysler looks very 1965 to me ... big, fat, square, slow, ugly.

@Jebro: never driven one, have you?

@mzek2112: What the hell is that supposed to mean? It's not as if there are many truly beautiful cars on the road in North America from ANY company. At least Toyota is going in the right direction on the engineering specs: smaller and more efficient. Better get used to seeing more Prius on the road in the USA.

Or for $3000 you can get a used Ram that has similar modifications: custom-banged fenders, bumpers already rusted off, suspension already half-disassembled for ease of replacement, cherry bomb mufflers straight out the back...

It may be as awkward-looking as the Volvo C30, but that is one hell of a handy configuration. Gotta give them credit for designing a nice package there.

There's an app for that.

Huge kudos to Porsche for moving all the spicy bits exactly where they belong:

@orsoscroot: indeed, taking a wider view (all models), GM regained its sales crown in 2010 and Ford passed Toyota too. Thank goodness for rental fleets and pickup sales.
