@SlowMo: Smart man, Rendell. I like the fiscal management he's shown too.

Cash-poor Ford didn't take the government handout (just some government-backed loans), so they had to pawn everything else that could be easily unbolted from the floor.

@Kamikaze5-0: well, we can't do much about brain-dead drivers, but amber turn signals are very effective at differentiating the two actions (turning/braking). Studies show amber turn signals to be more efficient especially on interstates, where you can signal your intention to move over a lane without prompting the

@Dennis Christin: Any law requiring the use of safety equipment by the user is unnecessary. The government's role is not to protect stupid people from themselves. Our LEOs have better things to do.

Interesting project, but ultimately pointless.

why does every mention of a wireless device always devolve into an android vs. iOS debate? we're talking about mobile software, not religion.

@aciddiver: Perhaps Ford fans are pissed not because this guy pulled the trick, but because some of them realised that their willful fanboy ignorance has been revealed. Most people above a 50 IQ can spot a Civic a mile away.

... and to think that this used to be the future!

@slater: almost all software is licensed, not sold. The CD/DVD of any software you buy is just a copy — you're really just buying the license to use it. The Brand X diagnostic tool you buy may come from a 3rd party diagnostic tool company that pays the mfrs for special licenses that allow greater visibility, tech

@LoganSix: no, they raise prices on financing packages first. The sticker price on the car is the trick to get you into the showroom.

I support this law, however, there will be consequences.

@gla2yyz: @luisthebeast: right on.
