Hey, give Honda some slack. They have tried very hard in the last decade to be everything to everyone. Someday they will realize this is impossible, but for now they're working their asses off providing a full line of Compromise Cars. The CR-Z, like any other recent Honda, is a superb 3rd place choice for anybody.

The number of cylinders is hardly the key indicator of performance, especially in this day of well-proven superchargers and turbos. There are many vehicles out there that are considerably less fun to drive in V-8 configuration than with a lighter engine.

@FrankGrimes: do please elaborate. You mean that I assume that an AWD sedan would be driven on real roads, with real bumps and potholes and snow?
