Sadly, it seems the ratio of price to power is directly connected to the douchebag level of the owner. That’s why Mustangs, Camaros and Challengers attract the worst crowd at car shows - it’s the most horsepower for the dollar. Same deal with Tesla - while they’re pricey, they’re still half the cost of anything else…

If Musk wasn’t so ADD and unable to resist wagging his Connexting Rod at every “sexy” sounding project known to man, Tesla could be the OEM supplier of modular, electrified chassis to the entire industry but... SQUIRREL!!!

Every time I contemplate trading in a 2005 Subaru and think the new V60 is awesome, I remember an Alltrak is much cheaper and has a manual and VW’s interiors are awfully nice, too.

The 40-series concepts they showed a while back was a lifted hatchback... the XC40 concept is nearly identical to the production version so assume this is close too

Those mirrors are gorgeous on their own, but as a part of the whole vehicle, they are a bit too... something. Whatever they are, they are too much of it.

We bought a certified i3 over the weekend after the GTI went tango-uniform. I agree with everything you say.

My thoughts as an i3 owner:

Toyota has historically had some really fun cars(Celica, FJ40, Supra, Corolla, etc)they just lost their way for a couple decades but have decided to come back full force apparently.
