Funny thing is one of the main things a console-centric person has said over the years is that a console is the superior experience because everything is simple and it “just works,” and that is certainly not the case anymore.

The thing that absolutely blows my mind about the Gmail app is that it has a unified Inbox view but it cannot default to that view. You have to go into it yourself every time you go in the app, which makes it completely useless.
