Given the trajectory of 4k TV/content adoption, this thing will start to be somewhat useful and justified somewhere around 2028.
This idea of using half doses based on limited data is just a typical problem solution that can only come from PIs (i.e. people that used to do experiments but are no longer at the bench).
One good thing about these is that they provide a clear indicator of those wearers who have more money than brain.

Theaters are fucked. Movies wouldn’t come out because theaters are not fully open. Theaters are unwilling to fully open (even if they are allowed to) because movies that matter keep getting pushed back. Vicious cycle and a three way (theater, movie, audience) lose-lose-lose situation.
