Not trying to be overly PC/SJW, how much of this was simply xenophobia at the time?

Freshly brewed coffee is too hot to drink (for me anyway), so my cold mug acts as a way to get the beverage down to a more drinkable temperature faster.

This year’s Rewind video has a 21.3% Like, compared to the legendary Call of Duty Infinite Warfare trailer which had garnered 13.8% Like. Bieber’s Baby actually has more likes than dislikes so >50%. Not bad at all.
