It can't be. I'm fairly certain that any entity that aired Joe Dirt 2 would have been burned to the ground by an angry mob in retaliation.

Were talking about France 1918 not France 1940. There is little indication that France would have surrendered if Paris fell.

They would have had no choice. Germany was falling into chaos behind them. If the front line was 50 miles further east would have had no impact.

The military setback wasn't what led to the end of the war. The movement of the front lines was irrelevant to the causes of Germany's defeat.

But if you are beyond logical thought, doesn't that make Objectivism more attractive?

Not really. The lines would have been in a different place when Germany collapsed internally, but that's about all that would have changed.

By the point of the US entry into the war in any significant way, Germany had almost no chance of victory left. The 1918 Spring offensive was their last real attempt but came up well short. The outcome would not have been any different without the US entry into the war.
