I do have to agree with your views on the weird model lineup. The LC and GX are so close to each other in every aspect. Different interiors but almost identical exteriors aft of the front fender. Similar specs and engine lineups. Only $4000 separating them in base price. The LC, as much as I like it, doesn’t make much…
I have to disagree. Not with the dislike, but how you got there. There is no functional reason why the sheetmetalk should have EVERY crease and fold imaginable. They styled it to look like a 12 year old just drove it through a slot canyon. That’s not really my idea of offroad styling. The LC is great. This looks like…
I just did my taxes and didn’t see the part where I state that I didn’t buy an EV this year and therefore have another tax added on top of my other taxes.
Meanwhile we have Republicans telling us the country’s infrastructure can’t support everyone moving to EVs. At the same time they reject any attempts to spend money on electrical or EV infrastructure as “unnecessary” because people don’t want EVs...
The second gen not exactly my cup of tea, design-wise, but I’m glad you love yours. 3rd gen went back to a winning formula (I still want one) and 4th gen is likely the car I would buy if I was in the market for a new car right now. Unfortunately, I can’t afford shit...
“their boxy appearance stands out even more in the sea of soap box car design”
Totally fine. You are technically correct, which is the best kind of correct.
I don’t like the proportions of the sedan, but as a hatch this works quite well. Can’t quite get behind the drooping tail lamps, but maybe they’d grow on me.
Touché...
Marketing translation:
Well, I did get the 2.3 EB mixed up with the 2.0 EB in the Escape Titanium. However, for 2024 the Corsair no longer carries the 2.3 EB as an option. Just the 2.0 EB with the same 250hp as the Escape, or the 2.5L NA Hybrid setup for 266 total horsepower. That’s a bummer.
Even then it still doesn’t make sense. There isn’t a car made that’s big enough to pull this feat off while driving. Mainly because the seat takes up so much room and even more so when rotating. But the other issue is, where do your legs go? Even if you could package the seat in such a way to make rotation possible,…
Normally I would chide you for such an opinion, but then I looked at this thing. I don’t think there’s another vehicle design out there right now that better exemplifies the “bar of soap” aesthetic than this one. The profile looks like a default shape for an SUV placed on a switch or UI interface.
Great QOTD idea:
My understanding is that the ship lost power several times prior to the collision and essentially drifted into the support.
If this is a partial collapse (as I’ve heard it described several times this morning) then I don’t know what a full collapse would be.
