@Black Knight Rebel: That is true, I have a netbook, no optical drive, most of my data i need is on a jump drive or i can get it from online. you don't by chance have a link for that blu-ray drive do you?

External optical drives are rather inexpensive, but an internal optical can be just as inexpensive. I would prefer and internal one over and external since some externals require power. If you take your laptop everywhere and use it on battery power, usually an external power source isn't available.

Did I miss earlier ones of these? I love working on laptops, I'm kind of doubting I would learn any new tricks from these but I could be wrong. I've repaired many laptops in my short IT career, I must get the rest of this series.
