Yeah, the original Gameboy was 8-bit, but when I say 8-bit and 16-bit eras, I'm more using that as shorthand for the games that came out in the late 80s and early 90s. Classics like the original Super Mario Bros on NES or Chrono Trigger on SNES.

Exactly, Nintendo doesn't know what to do with a studios as amazing as Retro. They're just doing some OK stuff. Help some other team, do a good platformer or two. That's not where their strengths lie. There's a reason many people were incredibly disappointed when they heard all they were doing was another Donkey Kong.

Definitely has some elements of 12 to it. Which i think's good, the warships and dialogue of 12 were some of it's plus sides.

I agree that Other M was an abortion. They can easily retcon everything by explaining that the Samus in the game was actually a hybrid clone like from Fusion, but unaware that it is a clone. That would explain why it had her memories but didn't behave like the real thing.
