I’ll do my section like the Nurburgring with all the graffiti and spectator fences :]
I avoid toll roads like the plague. Most people I know do, too.
A knife? So you’re ok with a potential victim stabbing her assailant, but not shooting him? I’m lost.
Please cite to more Mother Jones articles for constitutional authority. It really adds to your already stellar credibility on this issue.
Guns are equalizers. A firearm in the hands of a 110 lb. woman can give her a fighting chance against a 300 lb. man intent on sexual assault in a way that no other tool realistically can. It can allow a wheelchair bound man to defend himself against a would-be robber. It can allow a single person to fight off a larger…
You know what’s funny?
Well there’s no point in making a driver’s car, if the car doesn’t need a driver. His response shouldn’t be “you’d have to shoot me first” it should be “that’s the stupidest question anybody has ever asked in the entire history of human existence”.
we’re also at a crux in the automotive world. automation isn’t comparable to automatics being preferred by rich people, or 8 cylinders being better for x use case, or mid engined cares being better racers (discovered in 1959 i mean come on.) automation is something different. people who buy automated cars buy BIG…
Pretty much any situation you can think of, where you would call the cops because you feel your life or property is in danger, is a situation worth having your own defense. Another great reason to own a firearm is because you like them and enjoy target shooting.
Ferris wheel, roller coaster, or flying swing thingy. Are some carnival rides “better” than others? Maybe, probably. I understand your point and if Ferrari wants to start building carnival rides, I’m sure they’ll be very nice. Unfortunately, they build automobiles that you have to drive, not ride in. Now eventually,…
“That’s because we subsidize the shit out of the south. If they would just pull themselves up by their bootstraps...”
Good for him. Screw autonomous cars and electric performance cars.
I think the question is, why the hell would I buy a Ferrari if I wanted an autonomous car? Do we really need autonomous sports cars? No, we don’t so this is a dumbass point anyway.
But there's no such thing as a "best" autonomous" car. Because, basically, they're all just glorified carnival rides.
Why would anyone buy a Ferrari they cant drive? Thats the whole fucking point of buying one. Hence why they only make cars with 2 seats usualy. Why would you be driven around in a 2 seat sports car?
I’m not so sure I’d call driverless Ferraris inevitable. They’re not your average point-a-to-point-b vehicle, they’re designed to be driver’s cars. Whether or not they’re used for that in the real world doesn’t matter, they’re built for the driving experience. Ferrari will never go driverless.
Finally a company and CEO brave enough to stand up for enthusiasts and understand that cars are at once emotional and art. Imagine if we no longer had composers making classical music, because clearly everyone should be making electronic music - the most modern and advanced type. That’d be absurd right?
1. Having the checks is ok with me. Assume what you will. But it’s a great illustration for how bad guys don’t care about laws.
I hope they all underwent the background check!
