@hochiminh: Let's apply for Weekend Editor, write about our adventures with old Euro steel (you strike me as an E34 man, unless you follow Murilee's Buy A Fifteen-Year-Old Civic mantra), and split the cash. What say you?

@stephdumas: Precisely! I'd like to find one - black would be ideal, but Sex-Toy Purple or Electric Jungle Green would suffice - and do this to it.

Look at those damn seats. Look at 'em.

I'm tired of Chevy power, and those wheels look like they're off a Mercury Sable.

@TheClap: You can take it slow. In fact, with that pickup engine, you may not have a choice.

@hochiminh: Take note of this fellow's comment. Observe, if you will, that we appear to share qualifications, but that I have a star.

Let me guess, Ms. Motor, you're a large, bearded man in your forties?

We wish Ben, Sam and Murilee much success in their new endeavors.

@BullittFan_Fords4Life: I have an alternative explanation for the Cayman's badging, but it's a bit rude.

@pussyenergydrink: Isn't a compact CUV inherently a 'girl's car'? A Calliope should be attractive, though, so perhaps a Boxster offshoot/replacement.

@Pvt. Church: Anyone with taste would totally buy a Boxster anyway.

@RtFusion: GTA IV has its implications...

@minjin: I've had the cluster out of my Volvo 240 rather quickly - it's a tight squeeze past the steering wheel, but outside of that there's nothing special; a couple of plastic panels come out, a couple of screws are undone, and it slides out with the wheel in place and unscathed.

Well, it was a good run while it lasted. Your writing's had a great influence on me already, and that won't change no matter how sparsely new content appears. I'm hella glad that you've stuck around this long, and still await any new updates here, on your site, on Hooniverse, or wherever. Best of luck with what life

@lowmiles: I was going to write out a giant well-damn-it-Murilee-is-the-only-reason-this-site-is-bookmarked comment, but you've said everything I need to say right here.

@TurboBrick [LIGIER]: People usually get the hint when I tailgate them, too; if they don't, my car's rather audible when I floor it past them (which is, of course, necessary).

@RentalCarGuy still believes schöne Kombis heißen Avant: Yeah, these looked good - the car was a 1.4, though, so not a higher-end model, which probably explained the recycled-computer-case-plastic panels. The gaps, at least, were smaller than those in most Chryslers, and there weren't any strange noises.

@87CapriceEstate picking Butternut Squash: I was figuring it was an ex-police/fire car, based on the emblem placements (along the tops of the fenders and centred on the front doors), but I suppose it could be nearly anything.
