Congratulations indeed, Lovesabeer. If anyone could make Motor Trend useful again, it'd be you.

Homosexuals everywhere are relieved to find that they aren't being associated with that roof-mural-abortion.

@nataku8_e30: At least the Solara is dead, but that still doesn't exactly improve the numbers.

@gman1023: Exactly. I'd cut the price on the Land Cruiser, make some of the luxury features optional (and leave the Lexus rebadge alone), but kill the Sequoia. I'd then offer a V8 as part of a 'tow package' in the 4Runner. Just like that, no more gap.

@Doug Higgs: I've been to the UK as well. Trust me, it scares me too. I guess we will all have to move to Canada - poms, seppos, and strines alike.

@Gothmog3VZ: Hey, my metric sockets only go down to 10mm, I found that 8mm spanner somewhere (on the side of the road, I believe) years ago, and it fits on my keyring nicely and takes care of the 8mm bolts that're scattered around the 240...

Clever indeed! Congratulations, Jackie!

@Andyf: This is actually quite a good idea. My keychain is of a design that would let me just add my ring to it easily, so I may start doing that.

@Novaload: That's genuinely heartwarming.

@Avocadobride: Testing purposes, presumably. And you can't test a Swedish audio system with John Anderson (or Ian Anderson, for that matter), unless of course you're me.

@Avocadobride: The only music ever played inside a Saab, with only a few notable exceptions, has been Abba and random house/dancehall music.

@.sherpa: That's definitely true - I do think either a Falcon or Commodore ute would sell well, but they'd steal sales from each other, so there's probably only a market for one or the other. If it was brought here with a six or an eight, and had a base manual transmission for fuel-economy advertising purposes, people

@soybeanpete: Well, part of that is that it's aerodynamically a barn, and part of it's that I daily-drive a naturally-aspirated, automatic Volvo 244, so I'm used to mere adequacy. An optional V6 and/or beefy turbodiesel would definitely be mandatory, but a small four for people who would use it as a second vehicle for

@VeeArrrSix: Aye, it doesn't spark below about half speed (it's not marked for revolutions per minute, iirc) with most metals, and I was taking it easy with said ring. It sure does send 'em flying at high speed over steel, though - modified a few computer cases, and grindersparks are no myth.

@VeeArrrSix: I wouldn't be surprised at all. I knew such things existed, but figured I may as well deal with it on my own, considering my reasonable skill with a Dremel and lack of care for the ring.

@awwwcrap: Do you put the ring in your pocket now when you don't bother with gloves, or does that defeat the purpose of rushing? I know I take off my ring (usually), any bracelets I have, et cetera, and tie my hair back and stuff it down the back of my shirt before I work on anything dangerous (cars qualify, computers
