@CVV1: My friend's '91 EX (same friend) will do that without trouble, or rather it would until the exhaust and head gasket started to disintegrate. His previous car - '93 LX, slushbox - lost a head gasket as well. That and rear wheel-arch rust are really the only problems with CB7s.

@SmaartAasSaabr: I always said the Xsara Picasso was Fukang ugly.

@TheGMan323: I played the hell out of NFS3. Yep, it came out in '98, but I'm willing to forgive EA provided it lives up to the expectations set by its ancestors (Hot Pursuit, High Stakes, HP2, and - well, sort of - Porsche Unleashed).

I feel the need to mention New Hampshire's green-and-tan, since it's a less-ugly and equally-effective version of Maryland's scheme.

The last time I heard about a four-cylinder Accord exceeding 70 MPH, it was my friend's insane ex-girlfriend trying to kill herself.

@87CapriceEstate: Having the left blinker on while passing tends to make one look incompetent, as far as I'm concerned - like you forgot to shut it off. While trying to pass... that's a new one, but it might work.

@87CapriceEstate: I'm really looking forward to heading back down to Natick/Quincy on Saturday now... Thinking I might just keep my car noisy.

@trev: Precisely. This is why I have a problem with the Crosstour, for example...

@Death By Cornbread: I'll admit to having been a dick on one particular occasion, as I've been raised to not pass on the right unless someone's totally oblivious. Last time I went down - I think this would've been on 128S - I got stuck behind a left-lane hog in a new E-class. I followed him for a half-mile or so,

Well, I don't care about it one way or another, and I'm concerned that its handling will suffer, but at least it's better-looking than most new cars.

@LTDScott: Wrong coast, man... wrong coast.

He's made me want one...

@Tiberiuswise: No one on the planet got wagon like us.

@Death By Cornbread: Connecticut and Rhode Island are the real problems. Massachusetts drivers may cut you off and drive a bit erratically, but Granite Staters aren't any better about tailgating, I've found.

@87CapriceEstate: I know that when I fill my tank, I go until it shuts off, put my ear closer to the filler neck, listen for gurgling, and stop when it shuts off again. You're right, some stations are more sensitive - I've found that squeezing the handle down all the way makes them screw up more often.

...Meanwhile, I rarely make it a quarter that distance per gallon of petrol... but then, I daily-drive an enormous housebrick.

@Number_Six: I assumed as much. Also, a few Joseph Ducreux points for "the constabulary enclosed within".

@87CapriceEstate: Hell yes. I was gonna suggest it myself (though I'm biased, too).
