I just have to share one of my favorite scenes from an anime while we’re here!

To his defense, ghost rider wasn’t exactly sure where he was.

That’s a great idea. So many times I make a turn and have to guess what the limit is until I stumble across a sign. If I’m wrong and there’s a speedtrap and an artificially low speed limit, it could be an expensive ticket (or jail in Virginia).

At 16:42, a wild Teletubbie appears.

The PBY Catalinas were/are such beautiful planes, much like Lockheed Constellations. I know they belong to a bygone era, but I wish some company would undertake production of (new) Catalinas with composite skin (to reduce weight and lessen corrosion) and modern engines.

Not quite. C-130’s fly just fine on 3 engines. Making a turn back to the airport with one inoperative is nowhere near impossible. Making a turn back when the airplane is full of fuel and overloaded with passengers, well, that’s entirely different. I have no idea if the airplane was overloaded in this case, but with

BOOMER!

I almost guarantee you that this is the plot-

Go to the national museum of the United States Air ForceForce at Wright Patterson afb, they have tacit blue and the yf-23 in their R&D hangar, along with an A-12. The hangar is moving to be connected with the main hangars soon, so check the timeline that you don’t visit while those planes are moving.

This is so far-fetched I’m guessing we’re being trolled.

The aircraft is designed with a lift fan, to produce extra lift whilst the aircraft moves forward. A structure that helps channel oncoming air into the lift fan is very helpful. Rearranging that structure so that it pushes the air upwards instead would be less helpful.

It’s my understanding that this was the first military aircraft to ever be delayed in development.

Oh come the fuck on, Attack of the Clones is the worst Star Wars movie.

You can’t spiral the launch and recovery systems into the next ship of the class. The ship doesn’t work with steam catapults - EMALS and AAG either work or you go back to building Nimitz-class carriers. Calling them low-reward technologies is ridiculous, it’s like calling sensor fusion a low-reward technology for the

He burned down all their tents, stole their food, and converted all their sellswords (who stole all their horses). Who do you think was in that army that wiped out Stannis?

“B-25 Marauder

They were too busy dodging old people in Crown Vics and Town Cars who can’t figure out what a lane is or what side of the road to be on.

...563 less aircraft than planned...

I guess they’re banking on not having to tackle keyboard and mouse units.
