Newsom certainly fits the Dem’s current message of “we millionaires are the good ones”.

Of course the Biden administration would be fundamentally concerned with upholding public trust in the Supreme Court right now.
Too bad the fix is in for many primaries well before voting day arrives. The only reason AOC ever made it through is that the Dem leadership didn’t consider her a threat worth much attention. They know better now.
Later in his term, I’m expect Biden will proudly show off his ability to reach across the aisle, working with the Republican-led congress to a privatization of Social Security.
If DC were to somehow attain statehood, which is overdue regardless, expect to see a huge push by the Republicans to finally break off the northern third of California into its own state. Bam! 2 more Republican senators.
Codifying gay marriage and other gay rights is a move that the Dem party could attempt, since previous SCOTUS rulings obviously can’t be relied on as un-reversible. Maybe such an attempt -and others- would fail, but are they even willing to discuss the option? Will they expend any actual effort to address this issue…
“Democrats have the House right now.”
I just don’t think Joe will have the energy or ability to campaign for a second term. I also don’t think Harris will have the support to be simply anointed as the next candidate, or possesses an ability to charm her way to that spot. Unfortunately, with the same aged corrupt morons pulling the strings as in the past…
They don’t want a blue wave. They prefer not being fully in power, since that means having to take actual responsibility. They do just fine for themselves when either congress or the presidency is under oppositional control.
“But I’m thinking the Admin got spooked by the right-wing rabble”
Most importantly, when they get crushed in November thanks in part to dispirited turnout, they can blame the voters for the loss. Bad things can never ever be our Dem leaders’ own fault, and they’ll make sure we all hear that message! Repeatedly.
I’d normally like to call the AZ GOP idiots, but in this case they know exactly what they’re doing, and are all too well-calculated. They can totally get away with this and more.
They’re way more likely to file charges against the mothers, for “knowingly putting the unborn in danger” by showing up to any protest. (looking around, I guess I should’ve checked the other pendings here first)
There’s indeed not a lot of coverage of Harris lately, perhaps because she’s been having some bizarre speaking gaffes and appearances, and a more public focus on this may cause some blowback. Just google her name with “Charlamagne Tha God”, “the passage of time”, “working together”, and and watch her - all of these…
I’ll take this over the few recent problems of Russian thrusters not shutting off at all, and spinning the whole damn station.
There’s a mountain pass in Death Valley, California nicknamed “Star Wars Canyon” that Air Force and Navy planes like to fly though, with plenty of photographers showing up to catch the action:
I started watching Clone Wars of a mind that she was just some annoying kid sidekick, and finished the show believing she’s the best character of the series. She becomes one of the best combatants, which is nice and all, but mainly she’s a character that grows to the point where she sees how badly the war is run,…
I don’t expect Trump could stand having a genuine competitor as Veep, and would instead pick someone with zero charisma or excitement, much like he did with Pence. (and HRC did with Tim Kane)
Be careful of what you wish for, he may just single-term his way from governor to president, depending on how Trump-fatigue plays out.
This economy will be blamed on Biden, and his staying in denial is not helping. I just hope the Republicans aren’t gifted so many seats in 2022 and 2024 that a Constitutional Convention becomes attainable to them.
