Never encountered BOPD first-hand, have you? The world will go up in flames at the end of this mess.

He’ll just say everything is fine, “This time it’s different.” You keep pushing and he’ll act personally attacked. He’ll say, “You just don’t want me to be happy.” and he’ll shut you out of his life just life that. The more people tell him to take it slow, the more he’ll double down on it just to show them how wrong

Somebody tell me again how it’s The Gays that will ruin the sanctity of marriage?

If this is true, I can understand how Davidson would do this so quickly considering he has BPD which lends itself to impulsive behavior, but wtf is Grande thinking?

More like the US military doesn’t tolerate OVERT racism. There’s an article today about a bunch of former Marines who are now aiding and abetting White Nationalist causes.

Oh, so shocking that our military, which is often dedicated to conquering and killing non-white people around the world, has a white supremacy problem!

Now playing

Most prominent newspaper in the world for now. The star of the NYT is fading fast. Michelle Wolf let them have it and it was glorious

4th bullet point - I left my wife and kids out of any consideration about whether to sexually pursue women in the workplace. Now that all of this has been revealed, please consider the effects on my wife and kids that your future reporting might have.

Welcome to round 2 of the #metoo movement. Very powerful men are going to work very hard to fuck up anyone that worked to expose anyone during round 1. Even if they survive the beat down it sends a message to anyone thinking of coming forward: we will still ruin your life

I mean years of teaching Americans that violence solves any and all problems, whipping up racial tensions, growing inequality and the hundreds of millions of guns is creating an absolute shit show. Who knew?!

“The Daily Beast reports that Marine veteran Erik Sailors heads the Texas chapter of Patriot Front...”

“HR exists to protect the company, not you” is a crucial lesson that everyone needs to learn as early in their working lives as possible.

Yeah but if you asked him about it, he’d tell you it was a woman’s fault. Doesn’t matter which one though.

I really feel like we are sitting on a powder keg and something has got to give. Just one spark and shit is going to go off. Both domestically and foreign policy wise, I have a deep sense of foreboding.

So Glenn Thrush’s position is:

Never ever believe that HR of wherever you work has your back. Document everything. Trust your gut when something feels wrong. Leave a paper trail. Things are going to be foggy in terms of punishment for creeps/sexual abusers for a long while.

I think that’s true in academia too. My university has policies that look strong on paper, but seems mostly intended to provide the school with cover if senior people behave badly. “It’s not our fault, we have a policy!”

If there’s anything I’ve learned from working in politics and government for the past 20 years, it’s that zero tolerance policies rarely exist in everyday work life. Just because HR says there’s zero tolerance doesn’t mean there actually is, and I can assure you no HR office makes it a priority to find out.

So Glenn Thrush was, and apparently remains, a sad, petty, vicious little man.

He wasn’t the lead on HIMYM. He didn’t produce or write most of the episodes as far as I know. His headline show on NBC (Best Time Ever) lasted exactly 8 episodes.
