That linked-to Soderbergh interview is pretty great.

These men were so focused on making sure Tambor came off smelling like a rose that they completely disregarded her feelings and gave her no support. I used to like all of these men before this but this changes things.
I lost a lot of respect for Jason Bateman after reading that whole interview.
Just because you’re able to make a list of things that he didn’t do to her doesn’t mean that the thing he did do wasn’t toxic, unprofessional, and unacceptable. If someone treats you horribly at work, do you just think “well what a gentleman, he he didn’t even rape me once!”
Next time you go to your job, pick on of your coworkers and just go off on them. It might effect your performance review.
You just don’t understand, you see first he simply didn’t remember meeting Charlyne, but once he did, he remembered he was just doing a bit, because...yeah he’s awkward and you know, she just didn’t get it. Yeah, that’s the ticket!
Why are you leaving out how Cross completely tried some false equivalency bullshit to further delegitimize Walter? It’s gross as hell.
Thank goodness you weren’t there and yet are still able to tell her how she should feel about it!
Might as well let Jessica carry the press tour like she carries every scene she’s in.
It’s astounding how none of those guys had a moment in that interview where they had hesitation about what they were saying.
I first read the headline as “Netflix cancels Arrested Development” and I actually felt a sense of relief. I fucking loved that show when it first aired, but I don’t think I can even watch this new season. 2018: the year when everything, every tiny little thing that shouldn’t even matter, just went to total shit.
All of this just makes me want to give Jessica Walter a big hug. And maybe a stiff drink. Maybe several. It seems like something both Lucille Bluth and Mallory Archer would want in a situation like this.
Seriously though, Jessica Walter deserves better than that. Everybody deserves better than that, however Walter just…
“There’s never an excuse ever for yelling at somebody and humiliating them in front of other people.””
Alternately they could have just sent the boys home to reflect on how they could have handled that better, and let Alia Shawkat and Jessica Walter continue the press tour.
This is misinformation. BPD is not “curable.” And any improvement isn’t “fast.” It may be manageable with DECADES of dedicated, persistent therapy, but it is WHO they are. And they RESIST treatment because it requires them to admit they may be at fault, which is extremely difficult for them. It’s unfortunate, and I…
Yeah, I don’t doubt his ability to be happy in a relationship. It’s his significant other who is likely to bear the brunt of his illness. My mom would say she is happy in all of her relationships but she is manipulative, cruel, unstable, and emotionally abusive and also steadfast in her conviction that everyone else…
There is also a danger inherent in normalizing it. It encourages people to stay in abusive relationships with false hopes of recovery. BPD is not your average mental illness. Borderlines, by and large, resist treatment except for when it serves their purpose, and then immediately stop once it is no longer of use. I…
Borderline Personality Disorder isn’t curable, it’s treatable, which is a very different thing.
Except that BPD often comes with abusive behavior. It’s very different from, say, depression or anxiety. It’s not a chemical imbalance. It’s who they are. It makes them hurt people, emotionally & physically. It’s fine to be sympathetic, because it’s an awful existence, but it’s also important to validate that…
Having Adam Levine and James Corden arrested in one fell swoop would definitely make my day.
