Sorry, but elections have consequences. For example, the GOP tax plan would tax the hell out of graduate students, to the point that it would destroy my career and the general institution of academic science. This plan would not have materialized if the GOP hadn’t won the election.
I literally have trans friends who became deeply, deeply worried about their own well-being after Trump’s rise to power. Please, realize that not everyone is privileged enough to simply put the current socio-political climate aside and “get on with life”.
If she felt like she had to respond all she had to say “I’m not a white supremacist”. Her fans who care (and really those two women didn’t believe it anyway) could re-assure themselves and go back to whatever people do while Taylor Swift music plays.
Instead she starts launching artillery? Against a site no one has…
So she’s still happy to be associated with White Supremacists as long as they buy her “records” and is more willing to attack people pointing that out than literal Nazis?
WHY the ever-loving fuck would she and her team think this is a good idea? Not only is she giving the spotlight to the article (which I don’t think that many people actually read) but she’s spending energy on fighting this blogger / writer instead of, you know, condemning white supremacy?

This is a massively misleading statement:
Wow. Talk about a 1st world concern.
Well, this is the dumbest article I’ll bother reading today.
This is the 21st century. We need to get rid of any type of social convention so that no one ever has to feel pressured to talk to someone outside of social media, ever again.
I don’t care what a bunch of foreigners do when someone sneezes.
Really, it’s come to this?
Most cultures have food rituals surrounding bereavement. Many include bringing the bereaved meals.
I understand that it’s customary to bring food to a family sitting shiva, but a lot of congregations feed bereaved families like this. It’s especially common among protestant churches in the south.
Speak for yourself. I loved that thing with my heart and soul.
This whole week y’all have just been making me heavily regret not going to an HBCU. If I could go back, I’d go black.
