There are recent articles elsewhere that quote Nintendo saying the NES Classic was supposed to only be a fun product for the 2016 holiday season and that's why they're ceasing production. Whether that's true or just backpedaling on being unable to meet the demand, I'm not sure.

There's also a .FLAC audio tour for audiophiles with PonoPlayers.

I bought it for my family to play the few times we're all together throughout the year. Ended up playing nearly half the year (in-game time) just over the holidays. Really enjoyed the twists and turns and I'm ready to jump back in, since it's been awhile since we played.

That episode of Seinfeld where an older woman in Jerry's apartment dies and they plan to offer it to Elaine… I feel like they said the rent was about $400/mo and I nearly spit out my drink. That rent for any NYC apartment isn't something I can fathom, rent-controlled or not.

Eh. I'm kind of glad I don't have to entertain the possibility of going this year. Not really a fan of any of the headliners and that first wave has a few I'm interested in, but I've already seen 'em! My wallet's been taking a beating lately, so I'm thankful this won't add to the piling on.

While I am a little disappointed that this wasn't actually a murder mystery, I still binged all seven episodes yesterday at work so they definitely got me. John B was absolutely a character. A complicated, singular character. He may have been a misogynist and a racist, but I feel like if you were to meet him you would

I'm not going to count the junk I saw as a kid, so I'll just pick out a few I willingly chose to see as an adult. I remember going to see some real stinkers like Eragon and The Number 23 when my first girlfriend and I started dating. I think I was just happy to go along with whatever at the time.

Who doesn't enjoy a good Full Moon feature every now and again.

Kricfalusi's Ren seemed like such a singular creation that NO ONE else could have done it justice other than his creator.

Hey (like 10 select cities in all of) America, get passes to see Free Fire early and free, courtesy of The A.V. Club.

Pretty low-key weekend (sick in bed all of yesterday). So I finally watched the last episode of Fargo season 2. Incredible show, really can't wait for season 3.

Maybe watch The Leftovers? I know it's not exactly the same, but you seem to be more concerned with the bigger ideas and ramifications of such an event .

I can imagine the only reason these writers are up for such a large time jump is so they can spend half of the season doing flashback episodes.

Today I just got approved for the Gwent beta, so we'll probably play a bit here and there. Didn't really have time to play it on the PS4 last weekend.

Been looking forward to this one, since I liked the previous two so much. I've mostly avoided hearing anything that's gotten released in the last month or two, so I'm going in fresh.

There are a couple one-offs on Spotify: "Anything" and "The Hollow Sound of the Morning Chimes" which are excellent, two of their best songs imo. Their second album, Picture You Staring, is also excellent. It's a very sultry album, way more refined and mature than their first album, almost sounds like a different band.

Still listening to Frontier Ruckus - Enter the Kingdom. I think this is their 5th album and damn are they pretty consistent. I'm in love with their kind of wordy accounts of growing up in Michigan. When they use actual name brands and city names, it makes it feel more honest and somehow relatable (I did not grow up in

Been waiting on a new TOPS album for so long.

The new Mastodon has grown on me a little, but I don't think I'm that impressed with it. Just sounds like a typical post-BM Mastodon album, which is to say I feel like they've been sanding off their edges since Crack the Skye. BM was the last one that had any kind of rawness to it. That said, I still think I'll spin

I still think found-footage can be an effective method of making a horror movie. I'll watch this.
