For all the classic cartoons that have been rebooted into terrible cg live action films about the characters stumbling into the real world, I was always surprised they never tried to do that with the Animaniacs. It's essentially already the same premise: cartoon characters messing with real people. And hey, if they

It's not a perfect show, but when it hit its stride in a particular bit it could be brilliant.

That's what I was thinking. It's trying to capture that same feel, but it lacks the timeless appeal of the original. I applaud people for trying, it just hasn't really worked.

Oh man. I don't know what to think about this. With the Samurai Jack return, I was confident in Tartakovsky and that almost completely paid off. Animaniacs though is a whole other beast. This could be incredible, but they really do need to get the right people to work on it for it to really maintain what we

"Life is beautiful!"
-Steven, through three layers of sandwich.

You think so? I was really put off by it. I mean, I don't expect them to make something subtle or nuanced but the whole 'lois starts to get physical with one of peter's biological sons then blames peter for it cuz he doesn't pay enough attention to her and that's the moral' was surprisingly unpleasant for me. I'm

Too late

Just saying what I'm thinking. What about you?

Then let the empire fall if that's all it's good for.

I'm not excited for MSNBC, but it is interesting to see what this says about the people observing politics right now. Has the republican institution pushed people's goodwill too far with this latest administration? Will this have any major impact on upcoming or longterm election results? Is the change in American

If nothing else, the shakeup of this administration may finally cause people to question their political values and rethink whether or not the candidates they vote for or the talking heads they listen to are really acting in their better interest.

I'm always cautious to appreciate media figures complimenting each other, especially in the cable news sphere. It feels too much like it's just projecting an artificial display of trust so we don't feel compelled to hold them to any higher standards or cross check their accuracy.

I think the scene of Teddy running in exhausted to give Bob the news about the float is a great example of why this show doesn't feel stale or predictable like some of its colleagues.

I just don't get the rating system you guys use. I mean I get it. It's letters. But I thought this episode was one of the more serviceable romps this season. It was certainly nothing phenomenal but that's a prerequisite for modern simpsons. The premise was absurd and was carried out in it's own ridiculous way.

I was wondering if they would ever address that, and I think the reason he was untouched by time is because he was always bound to return to the point where he left. Supposedly then, the rest of his life would play out as normal, and the last 50 years spent in the future would leave him with whatever wisdom he

Why do the characters have to exist in the future? Life carries on regardless of who's living it. As fans, we may see it as a bummer if the characters we came to love never existed, but in the ethical reality of Jack, all that matters is he saved the world from Aku. I think that's kind of beautiful on its own.

I get where you're coming from, but I feel like the mixed victory of Jack stopping Aku in the past thereby deleting the timeline where he ruled and everyone in it is actually kind of a provocative way to leave us. The finale wasn't perfect, but I still liked it. Feel free to disagree, but I thought I'd respond to

Fun fact, his real name was Naruto.

“Do not worry samurai. You will see me again. But next time you will not be so fortunate… What? You’re back already?!”
*slice*

“Will the precarious time frame of a ten episode serial result in a few minor narrative pitfalls before the finale, undercutting the set-pieces with cliches and theme dissonance that are given more weight than necessary in hindsight? Will we all still love it regardless because for fuck's sake look how good this show
