I'm glad we're getting all pissy about the powers that be pressuring a "news" organization to stop perusing a story that was viewed as damaging to the League, but let's not act like this isn't an everyday occurrence between major news networks and their government "sources". Maybe if we stopped getting all up in arms

Great piece, Scott. I couldn't agree more with the somewhat arbitrary line we draw in the sand around what constitutes a "Performance Enhancing Drug". I have used the Cortisone example with skeptical friends numerous times.

You might say that Lofton is....unflappable.

Well written and researched piece. The folks at BIG SPORTS MEDIA can barely be called journalists. They will recite whatever their newest athlete crush has to tell them. Seems like every year they get exposed for this sort of falsified "reporting". Last year, it was Te'o and his Heisman-propelling story of tragedy.

damn. that was good. +1

So you obviously didn't read the article. What the author is saying is that Manziel is exhibiting the early signs of a young person with a drinking problem, one that could become serious given the right circumstances (i.e. injury, failure to live up to his lofty expectations this season, etc.). Most people are not

Texans who honestly believe their state would be better off if it seceded from the US are idiots. Do they not know how many jobs in their state are created by the federal government? The military bases alone inject millions, if not billions, of dollars into the Texas economy annually.

How are these comments organized? I thought it was the oldest comment at the top, but then I thought it was the comments that the author responds to gets pushed to the top. Now I am pretty sure even the comments that the author has responded to are in a different order every time I refresh the page. Is it comments

Drew's advice is sound. As soon as your lease is up (or even if it isn't, fuck 'em). If they can't respect you having a job and using that job to pay your bills, including rent, then your roommates are dysfunctional shitheads. This is why the first thing I did out of college was get a 1 bedroom apartment to myself and

I can't wait to see this guy in 10 years. He is going to be a total disaster.

The Pacers are better than the Heat down low, in the paint. I don't think anyone is going to argue with that. In terms of the overall team, it's a much tougher sell to say the Pacers are the better team, but for people who are not believers in "small ball," one could try to make the argument that the Pacers' big men

Naive.

That's not what he is insinuating. You are trying to take the argument to absurd lengths to prove a point, when the reality is that the Xbox One will be watching you in your living room, it COULD be recording you, and those recordings can be stored indefinitely for review should they be needed. We had this discussion

I couldn't agree more. While jobs aren't easy to come by, they are available for graduates that got good grades in meaningful majors.

Thanks, Captain Hindsight!

I looked for a video of this for at least 10 minutes. Couldn't find it. But I did find a video of him tackling an Arizona Cardinal like a MLB. BEAST.

What's up with all the Chiefs players making the pro-bowl? I am a Chiefs fan, but no 2-14 team deserves 4 players in the pro-bowl game.

The Chiefs are desperate enough to take him. Jacksonville too.

trololololololol

The idea that humans have overpopulated the earth is debatable. I would suggest that more than enough food is produced to feed the world; what we have is a distribution problem.
