Can't Hardly Die

I once saw a parody of that parody that was one of the funniest things I'd ever seen. At the time, anyway. I was probably tired and drunk.

…@avclub-011d0b4fe6835bb3d37ef4e0ea713de6:disqus , are you shitting me? Because if you aren't shitting me, please tell me which book it was.

Same here. I first started reading Calvin and Hobbes collections in first grade, and probably understood, like, 20% of them. So it was fun as I kept rereading them through the years that I got more of the jokes every time.

On Friday night I went to see my friends' band Mr. F (they are excellent, by the way) open for Deals Gone Bad, which I was told was a moderately big deal. Then Deals Gone Bad were lame, so I  ended up at a friend's apartment drunkenly insisting that we watch Treasure Planet on netflix. Halfway through I apparently

Quackscwitz? Nah…guess it only works for the feline family.

My high school actually had (has, I guess) an honest to god broadcasting department that you could take classes in, so our CCTV show was actually pretty decent. Pairs of kids would switch off being co-anchors, and the funniest pair would usually end up anchoring a special edition at the end of the school year. One

Well, after taking a cross-country flight yesterday I'm now further than I've made it before. I think I'm past the most frustrating stage, so I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about the rest, as @avclub-df106893a4574bccb7bce1ff66e788b9:disqus recommended.

I'm on my third try over the last 8 years or so at reading Titus Groan by Mervyn Peake. It's not that it isn't good, just that it's kind of exhaustively detailed. I'm about 50 pages in and the constant introductions of one absurd/grotesque character after another is reminding me why I kept quitting, but I'm hoping I

I like Mika, and think it's pretty hilarious that this guy who (as far as I know, since I admit that I haven't heard more than a couple Frightened Rabbit songs) writes pretty depressing stuff just straight up hates this song for its optimism.

Great, now I can get made fun of by all my friends again for liking them. Thanks a lot, you bastards.

That sounds like a disastrous idea that I would get way too into.

I kind of want to pat you on the head. Pretend that's happening.

Well, guess I don't get to avoid making eye contact with him down at the studio anymore.

I've just now realized I should have gone with, "Quit driving the Spice Girls' tour bus?" His true calling.

I used to use a DVI to HDMI cable to connect my macbook to my tv, but you do need a separate cable for the audio in that case. It wasn't too expensive for both of those though, maybe $20 or so.
