I agree.  Power is nice to have, occasionally.  Gas mileage is all the time.  I’m feeling that now with my full size luxury car with a V8 and gas is nearly $5.00/gal

Architects drive Saabs.

Haha, that’s our local auto group!  They also used to have plate frames that said Love Life across the top.  I’m pretty sure they were going for “love your life,” but I always read it as sex life.

I seriously considered buying an STI and didn’t because I didn’t want to be associated with that group.

The Camry Dent is very real. I can’t unsee it after it’s been pointed out to me.

It took me a while to realize what they were implying with the “hair dresser’s car” on Top Gear.

Every Jetta in college was driven by a woman.  For a stereotype super bonus, add Hawaiian floral print seat covers.

That you can trick traffic lights into turning green faster by flashing your high beams at them.

This is why I’ve stopped riding my motorcycles.  Too many close calls and constantly swerving idiots on their phones.  If I ever ride again, it’ll be trail riding only. No more riding on the street. You will always lose.

I mean, it’s right there in the title.

What weird hobbies some people have.

Honestly, Sonoma is about the same (viewing-wise) as any other road course. You can see bits and pieces, but overall, unless you’re across from a jumbo-tron showing the race on TV, you’re pretty much in the dark about what’s going on.

I wouldn’t say the worst ever.  They’ve got some top 5's and 10's.  They came out of the box hot because they found a loophole to basically run a Ferrari customer car when Ferrari was still competitive.  But ole Gene thinks he outsmarted the likes of the big factory teams and can run with the big boys on the cheap.

Yeah, I was surprised by the crowd and LB.  It stood out to me because of the stark contrast at Laguna.  Maybe Northern Californians aren’t into Indy Cars.  Sonoma was always a pathetic showing too, and it was the championship deciding race.  They used to give you a free ticket and additional discounted tickets if you

True, but the stands were nearly empty. I know, I was there all weekend. I’d be surprised if there were 20,000 people there.

Ok.  I will admit that good-ole-boy-ism certainly exists in law enforcement, especially small departments.  However, when shit hits the fan and it becomes a big media thing, they will absolutely look for someone to pin this on to save their own asses.  Trust me, they will be looking for some i that wasn’t dotted or

While I see your /s at the bottom, just to clarify my statement, I wasn’t defending the internal police discipline procedures or stating that the victims in this crime should be satisfied with it. I was only explaining what a “counseling” is in law enforcement for people that were freaking out that the sergeant got a

I can’t stand when he says mejum for medium.

Laguna Seca has a NIMBY problem with their surrounding residents. They are doing their best to get the track closed down entirely. They certainly are not going to allow upgrades that bring in an even larger event. Laguna Seca is owned by the local government, not a private corporation with deep pockets. They are
