I thought these were used as rental cars in south Florida in the early 90’s. I distinctly remember in Days of Thunder Nicole Kidman yelling to Tom Cruise, “Let me out of the Ka, Cole, let me out of the Ka!”

The freeways aren’t empty. I was driving home the other night going 80 mph and was getting absolutely smoked by several cars. The close rate was so fast that they were swerving from lane to lane because people couldn’t react and move over fast enough. It’s dangerous.

I think saying that people only become cops because they crave power and authority is a pretty broad assumption. That’s like saying people only join the military because they want to legally kill people. I think there are many different reasons people get into it, both good and bad. They grew up in a LE family, they

Just beat out the 1999 Geo Metro with its 55 horsepower.

The “floating roof” design element was certainly overplayed very quickly.

I get it. Outrage politics is draining for everyone and unfortunately the media (that has built their business model around click count for advertising income) has learned how to tap into our primal response to engage with things that infuriate us.

That’s not liberal, that’s misinformed. And there are plenty of those people on all ends of the spectrum. I would love to invite all anti-law enforcement to do some ride-alongs or see what decisions they would make in scenario testing. Most people will never have to face the stress of making a split second decision

How is it liberal to not want unnecessary collateral damage? How would you respond if you got a call at work that your wife or kid was in ICU because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time and got annihilated? Would your first response be, “Well, it happens I guess.”

The “what if” rabbit hole got us the Patriot Act for the last 20 years and you have to take your shoes off to go through security at the airport.

And your guess is extremely wrong.  But hey, go be the change you want to see in the world.  Police agencies are always hiring.  Put in that app.

They should sell an EVOC course to the public where you get to see if you can get away in a closed, controlled environment.  I would totally pay to do that.

Law enforcement is evolving. It’s taken a while, but it’s beginning to happen. The mindset in LE has been, “this is how we’ve always done it” for a very long time and it takes a lot of effort to change a culture. Unfortunately it takes lawsuits (ie money) to wake some people up. With cameras everywhere now, the good

Yes, cops get the “red mist” when somebody runs. Adrenaline is a hell of a drug. But, a lot of agencies are realizing the risk versus reward factor in the chase at all costs approach and have implemented policies regarding when to pursue and when to abandon. It sounds like this is what happened here.

There are a handful of sound clips that get used over and over and over. I think sound mixers have got to be the laziest people on the planet. They just downloaded one sound board in 1995 and haven’t used anything else since. See a firetruck? You’re about to hear the sound clip from Sim City when you place a new

As long as it doesn’t threaten his social standing, yes. Who are the people screaming against $15/hr minimum wage? The people making $16/hr. They want people in desperate financial dire straights so that they can be “ahead” of someone.

The trade in value of my 2017 Tacoma has dropped $3,000 in about a month.  A 4x4 Tacoma for god’s sake.  Luckily I leased so Toyota gets to eat it here in about two days.

Can I swing by the port and pick up a Veloster N for straight invoice?  I don’t mind doing the DMV myself.

My complaint is that with current CGI abilities they can remove that stuff. I understand that CGI is expensive, but they use it on other minor details that most people never notice. You can’t go back and air brush out the skid marks from the previous take? Or the steam pouring out from under the car from the steam

My wife hates when I point out my two biggest pet peeves in movie car chases. 1.) Soaking wet streets when it’s obviously dry and sunny, even in tunnels. 2.) Being able to see skid marks from previous takes.
