Hot Fuzz got it right with this quote after watching Point Break for the first time, “I won’t argue that it was a no-holds-barred adrenaline fueled thrill-ride, but there’s no way that you could perpetrate that amount of carnage and mayhem and not incur a considerable amount of paperwork.”

Narrator: He did not get the rest of the afternoon off.

Jalops when finally confronted with the car they say they always want:

My grandmother taught me that about using crosswalks.  She said I would be “dead right” about pushing the issue with right-of-way against a car.

They ALWAYS ask if you have a trade in.  My answer is, “I don’t know, probably not.” and leave it at that.  That way they stop concentrating on the trade and only focus on the sale deal.

That’s exactly what I thought as soon as I saw the headline.  Crack Pipe at any price.

I guess I better get the iron out and get this bad boy prepped and extra flat.

Plus Karen likes to sit up high in her SUV on her way to Starbucks, so when she blows a stop sign while updating her Facebook status to “Needs Caffeine ASAP LOL” her front license plate hits you in the left ear.

I saw one where a guy was walking his dog down the street and it blurred the dog’s face.  I guess for the dog’s privacy?

I usually set it to $500 or $1,000 because you have those idiot dealerships that list the “monthly payment” as the price.

That’s just good value.

“It’s a cartoon! I need a photograph! A photograph!”

Thank you for reminding me of this kid.

I list my $30,000 used car for $1 so it shows up at the top of the list.

Plus, locking up and flat spotting will definitely hurt your chances with these sprint races and no pit stops.

I thought Snowball was the one to beat.  Super fast down the straights, but just didn’t have the downforce in the turns.  Still, a podium is something to be proud of.

I think the parallels people are making to 2001 is the behavior of everyone afterwards. Little to no information, there didn’t appear to be any urgency in the safety crew, and the somber reactions from both drivers and commentary crew. Usually when they put up screens to block view of the car, it’s fatal.
