If I could had found a 300 with a V8 instead of the V6 it would have been a larger consideration at one time. It was too floaty; I guess that’s the point, but I was expecting it to be more Charger like. But yeah, that happened.

Ladies find you a man that obsesses over you like Jalopnik obsesses over Elon Musks taxes.
In tenth grade I had a late 90s Ford Expedition pull into my autotech class. Guess who got to change out it’s seized spark plugs. I had what felt like four feet of extensions trying to break them loose.
You can’t really use anything your saying as any kind of argument against what I’ve said though. You’re attempts to make it personal by implying I view class and money differently from the average American isn’t going to work here. Maybe you’re the one with the distorted view if you think 158k out of 15M total new car…
Your statement doesn’t prove anything that invalidates my previous comment. It just list sales numbers for cheap cars in a bad year for the car market where said cheap cars are all that was left on lots. The Honda Accord alone sold more than all of those vehicles combined last year. That’s one manufacturer. One. You…
I think the reliable and affordable parts will come in separate parts with time. A car can’t be deemed reliable until it proves itself to be. Affordable is up to the people. Automakers build the most expensive car they can sell. Nobody who can afford a new car would want one that doesn’t have expensive features. …
I’m not sure about you, but I personally am not okay with companies from China gaining a foothold in the USA. They already have too much market influence everywhere else.
Thank you for this. I can refer this to my dad so he doesn’t have an excuse that he doesn’t know anything about Subaru engines when I plan on modifying my car and need some common sense.
I’m on the younger side, so I’ll say having your steering column lock up your ignition switch. Most cars I’ve had have had push to start. So it’s always a throwback having to pull on the wheel to get the key to turn when you park with the wheel cocked for too long.
Your local bike shops may sell used bikes. My local shop had to put tents out to make room for all of their used inventory. If not Craiglist/FB Marketplace tend to have a little bit of everything.
You have treat a bike just like you would a car, with care and maintenance.
A manual transmission. I thought it would be fun, but after driving a few other cars other than my WRX that were also a manual, it’s not as glorious as people make it out to be. It’s just another thing that can break. Maybe a car with a bigger engine that can roll on it’s own torque would be better, but I’ll have to ex…
I’m not one for collecting any car, but I would say any car is worth preserving it in it’s semi original state, or at least at reasonable state of period correct modification. I hate seeing supras and skylines turned into 1000hp supercar killers. You can’t just go out and buy those anymore...
The TRD trim really does something for me. I wish they would do a Tahoe and Suburban trick and make one that’s a bit short in length.
I feel like it’s a bit long in the tooth to make this comment, but an Outback or even Forester based pickup would be totally rad. Especially if it carried the Wilderness package. But the bed would dumb small, and it would be more Santa Fe than Maverick.
I’m going to say high performance ICE, EV cars. It seems like every car can hit 60 in 5 seconds and under. EV acceleration is practically a gimmick at this point with people piling in their friends and flooring it in a straight line on camera. Meanwhile none of these cars are remotely affordable or fun to drive.
Referring to somebody as “respected” who is an “expert” on a particular subject that’s as ambiguous as automated driving means nothing to me, an average person who has never heard of him.
When you turn around to look at it, and you don’t smile. Cars are a necessary luxury, like AC, and should, for the most part, make you happier to have.
Or hear me out, you can pay it forward (within a reasonable amount) AND tip the barista. And paying for the person behind you is no different than paying for yourself. It’s innocent, it’s fun, and it’s nice.
