Yeah, but how cool is that Tom and Gary's Decentralized Dance Party uses one.

I think I should get flack for this, but the Nokia N800 probably wasn't the best purchase (useless isn't the right word). We lovingly called it the Faux-Touch since everything I wanted to do with it, could essentially be done with the iTouch. That isn't to say it wasn't super handy for controlling my squeezeplay…
Sad to say we have to say bye to things like http://reederapp.com , since they are just google reader clients.
HTPC replacement or overhaul/upgrade?
I bet you could take these results and find they correlate well with age data you have on LH visitors/commenters.
totally.
This could be amazing. Between dropbox, crashplan and google music (I think they are the culprits), my startups can be pretty slow.
This RadioLab just came out talking about Dr. Heimlich. Pretty great story, and at the end they touch on this change, and more importantly a possible reason it is not called the Heimlich anymore.
I think the biggest thing that I knew about but didn't appreciate beforehand was the level of sickness (not only for the kid, but the parents). I have a 6 month old in day care and have been sick with various things for almost a month straight now.
I might be getting doped then. I had seen some reports of mid-February and that a tethered version was working, but then other reports saying this is all BS. Do you have any extra info?
Since the ATV3 jailbreak is supposedly almost here, I would love a head to head of the two (using Plex for local content). I would like to convert my HTPC to something more like a NAS/torrent box that is WOL and scheduled power on and off, but I want that perfect set-top box to play the content. Amazon on the Roku is…
Good advice, thanks.
I need to figure out how to train my boss to be more direct and boss-like. I am sure most people who have had bosses for a long period of time can see it is a bit like a long-term relationship: the little things start to get really annoying. For example, my boss beats around the bush when getting updates from me.…
This is my favorite thing at Walmart... there is no unit pricing on labels. And to make matters worse, often times the bulk items are priced higher per unit. It seems that they are openly admitting that their shoppers are idiots, which is pretty offensive.
You mean backup, not archiving right? I think CD/DVDs really are only used for archiving.
Great choices, and some others I would have added: Bartender http://lifehacker.com/5906565/bartender-cleans-up-your-macs-menubar , Max http://sbooth.org/Max/ and Chuck http://lifehacker.com/5818323/chuck-is-an-super-lightweight-customizable-application-launcher-for-mac
Wow, I just went on a kimchi kick and this comes up. I have been using David Chang's recipe (as a starting point), and it's been great. You can add basically anything to it terms of greens. Everything in it should be in season right now. (below is a video that isn't the best recipe, but is funny).
Seems like you left out pubmed http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/ , which goes along with Google Scholar as my two primary search resources (I am an academic researcher). Something I like to do when getting into a topic I don't know is to do a search in pubmed and specify "review" in pubmed search results under…
Does anyone still try to hide their email address from bots when creating websites, published signatures, etc? If so, how, and does it work? I know some institution emails seem to get hammered by bots, but gmail at least seems to keep spam at bay.
