I actually got an invite from a friend and will totally be testing it out. Honestly, if they just implement something similar to Diaspora's groups (Friends, Family, coworker, etc.) I will use it more than ole FB in a heartbeat.

@TheNimboo: been using LauncherPro for quite sometime and can't say I recall many (if any) FC. Probably a ROM issue. Try some of the CM7 spin-offs.

Good answer and completely true about the other file systems. Lifehacker had a piece a long time ago about setting up RSS notifications of replies, but I seem to recal that not working after they re-did the site. The previous example was something using tarpipe or Yahoo Pipes.

Well the response was no surprise:

Do people actually refer to uTorrent as micro-torrent or as 'u'-torrent? I use it on my windows PC which does most downloading, but on my everyday mac its transmission all the way.

What sort of speed benefits can you get switching to a wireless router with a gigabit WAN (either G, or N)?

Surfboard.

Too bad there isn't a nice sparrow-esque program for Windows. The only reason I use a client anyways (as opposed to gmail's web interface) is to limit distractions (like clicking on LH).

On a side note that is slightly related, I hate when I notice issues in the low-range (distortion) only to find out it is the recording itself. For instance in the self-titled Broken Bells album jams at the low-end (like most of DJ Dangermouse's music) and for the longest time I thought my download was crap (from

I do love me some HyperDock.

I think college can be an effective means of education, more so than high school which is driven by standardized tests. The best classes I had in college, and then later the majority of grad school all the way through my Ph.D., were ones that used the oxford tutorial method or an equivalent teaching method (including

That's exactly what I have been doing. I get to talking to the book store owner and find out about some more books I should read, but of course can't afford at that moment, and the easiest way to record them is springpad.

I would add Sparrow [lifehacker.com] to my list of problem programs, which seems to go a bit crazy now and again. If it wasn't for that behavior I would actually buy it.

Except disc fragmentation isn't an issue for Unix based file systems, so Defraggler would be worthless.

I would definitely argue this is going to be food and case specific. In other words, different molds grow on different foods and therefore issues with their mycelium throughout a food is different. For instance, the most common mold that grows on bread is Rhizopus stolonifer with Penicillium spp. as a notable mention,

I keep track of books I want to get with Springpad on my phone, and was wondering if any of these tools work well with Springpad (if at all)? Previously I half-way started getting organized on Shelfari [lifehacker.com] , but I don't know if I see any real benefit to it (it links to Amazon, but no real features there I

I would argue that internet bills are the easiest to reduce since I have been doing it for years (~2002) after reading an article stating $20 as the magic number. You should be paying $20-25/mo for the fastest internet package available from a provider and if not, just call and say you are canceling service so that

rrrr! (that is supposed to be a pirate).

+1 on activities. Kickball is great even if you have no physical prowess. Softball and soccer leagues are great too. Basically any league in your area will have a ton of people, which leads to more people, and next thing you know you have a ton of new friends (at least that's the plan).
