My 2¢, stop using google reader. Might not be an issue for everyone, but here recently I have found that google reader is the culprit for killing my battery. I was keeping the sync off to deal with this, but the webapp is just fine, so I ditched the app completely.

Okay, web based, but I like springpad. Has a nice built in recipe template, and therefore works really well on my phone.

I realized after the micro-app article that there were a lot of apps I didn't know about, but there are a ton on the menu bar in the screenshot. You wouldn't mind listing them off would you?

But yesterday I found out through LH that users of social networking services like Facebook have a lower "need for cognition."

no love for acetone? why do you think that's what you used in your organic chemistry class to clean everything: not too polar and not too non-polar, just right to dissolve anything.

I would have them all funnel into the same gmail account using +rules and then filters. You could even use multiple inboxes at this point (the gmail labs feature). Then, just use different send-as to keep life separate. I do this for 4 accounts, albeit only two are gmail, but seriously, you don't need to have them all

Off topic slightly: is there a DupeZap windows equivalent?

Does it count if when screen sharing I use an open notepad document as a quasi chat client? So lame.

As a scientist, I think keeping notes on anything is how you attain perfection (or at least consistency). Personally I use the same approach in slow cooking meat and it has proved invaluable.

I think the best way to speed things up is to start messing with your build.prop (aside from adblocking of course) . I know at least one dev on xda has started doing this. [forum.xda-developers.com]

Does anyone remember the joke from a few years back when a sewing supply company posted a one-arm sewing machine in their catalog which had an actual arm? I saved the link to digg but apparently my lack of use caused my links to vanish.

Since I decided to do this and immediately ran into the issue of backing up to a network drive, here are the instructions that seem to work

+1

I have been thinking about coming back to Firefox myself, but the one difference yet is that I do love direct access to my google bookmarks in Chrome. Before moving to Chrome I couldn't do without [the surprisingly not defunct] gmarks add-on [addons.mozilla.org] .

maybe 80...

I first learned of this in the excellent book, The Paradox of Choice

Ever noticed how many narwhals make it onto shirts at woot?
