May 8 2013Save5/8/13On top of the fact that most civilizations would have to make an monumental effort to even catch a signal from us among all the cosmic background noise , any that could travel here would consider electromagnetic wave propagation too primitive to even be considered a form of long-range communication. Our best hopes at cosmological distances don't amount to much more than a message in a bottle.
