As someone who never got into twitch and streaming and have no clue who all these people are, this whole situation, and the clip at the end in particular, just feels like grown ass men behaving like schoolkids.

So real. I accidentally let myself get suckered into a few mobile games last fall when I visited my folks for the holidays. It’s so goddamn easy to spend a stupid amount of money you’d never spend on a game otherwise. The psychology is unnervingly successful (against weak willed gambling addicts like myself).

This fucking should affect other games. Maybe then mobile gaming as a whole will get good.

Damn, I would have killed to have so many girls interested in mainstream gaming when I was in high school. All these boys are lacking vision: a shared interest is an unbeatable icebreaker. Dumbasses.

Every single time we make a stride towards some form of gender unity in this community it gets massively undercut by some assholes who think it’s somehow an invasion of their turf.

Yeah but as it turns out, it’s just a ceremonial replica of the real thing.

I don’t know why people are expecting it to be anything but a port. The trailer felt to me like an announcement of new characters to the existing roster and new smash games are announced with months of extensive build up and character reveals. This is just a port with a couple new characters.

It’s not like Nintendo was busy releasing first party titles for the final 3 years of the wii u lifespan. They gave up on it long ago and started developing Switch titles so they could get a strong fresh start. I’m certain they’ve still got some big unannounced 2018 titles left.

People keep saying this with absolutely no logical backing to their statement. It’s ridiculous.
