That’s true. But - in this case - the other half is enjoying the ride. And for not altogether a lot more money spent on purchasing the old bike and the new parts, Mr. Orlove could have found a newer used bike that would be vastly more capable, safer and fun to ride. Vintage is cool, but some times old is just old. I

Yep. I bought a used mountain bike when I got into it, and quickly realized that bike manufacturers make sure that new parts won’t fit old bikes, and bikes aren’t *that* expensive, as these things go.

You end up quickly spending more than a new one costs trying to retrofit parts, and to add insult to injury, the end

lol nothing will ever come close to trump. Nothing. Not even an actual baby

This is good and right. Came here to post the same. Florian Schneider and Kraftwerk are massively influential, and Autobahn (any length, but the original 22:47 is sublime) is a fantastic masterpiece.

Shiiiit. This is definitely going to be Thursday’s traffic jam

This is my fave so far. Never thought I'd want a pinto but here we are.

Well, I built this a few years ago . . . which has parts from various cars . . . however, it is pedal-powered. Does it count?

“Caterham’s only marketing tactic is appealing to the nostalgia centers of our dumb lizard brains.”

You have a bright future here.

Still fewer airfoils than an F1 car.

Absolutely correct. I’ve scanned a number of parts. On a quarter you can get all the text and numbers if you crank up the resolution. Went to Peru a couple of years ago to assist in scanning the entire dump body for a 300 ton mining hauler (inside and out) so there are lots of options. You usually get a single surface

This may actually be my Lottery car, as it is just so damn gorgeous.

They probably don’t expect this car to break down frequent enough.

Yeah that’s pretty weak; our bad. I’m going to start suggesting we all wait until hangovers subside before we do morning posts.

I can’t believe I missed that!

That’s gotta be 630 unique parts. I would think there’s probably triple that in just fasteners, of course each one would only have to be rendered in CAD once.

It was huge and ungainly, with a perchance for understeer thanks to the turbocharger kinda tact on to the front (hence the Blower name) but it was still incredibly fast.
