I am what I eat...

If i do lake stuff, I’ll just get a kayak.  Which I’ve been threatening to do.

Plenty of places to ride mountain bikes if I drive a short distance. and I have friends that do it. But I really like riding from home. No trails are an easy ride from home.  :-/

Greater chance of breaking my skull, too.  I already push my luck with the universe.  Also, that would mean getting a forth bike.  On the other hand... N+1  :-)

You can go through three close-riding cyclists in the blink of an eye.

I hate riding a stationary bike. The joy is in being outside and seeing the world.  It’s sad that we have to make this choice - between life and joy.

Sometimes I think inattentive or distracted driving is worse than an incident that happens with malicious intent. Driving a car is a process that requires constant attention. To do otherwise is effectively a conscious choice to drive badly and therefore criminal level negligence. And we write it off as a lesser evil

Fixed your headline.

The second and third third recall are the NA 2.0 motor. I’ve got the 1.6 turbo. I’ve seen all but the last one. I get your point though - granted I could probably find recalls on everyone’s cars. Some being worse and more frequent than others. The press seems to think Kia/Hyundai cars overall are much better than they

Breathtakingly stupid seems to be getting more and more common these days.

There are “baddies” in every sport, club and culture. :-/

I hadn’t heard about those kinds of problems.  When I’m on the market I tend to read a bunch to see where certain cars reliability is.  Nothing horrific came up around Kia/Hyundai products in recent years.  I plan to keep it a while, so we’ll see.  I maintain my cars well - that may have been part of the issue with

Yes...  😧

I couldn’t find a Civic Si within reasonable dealer swap distance so I bought a Kia Forte GT for $22K last December. I feel like I got a huge bargain considering it’s similar HP, weight, performance and quality. I’ve had it on the track and it was more than decent. $6K is a pretty huge gap... for what? Maybe a little

I was thinking the same thing except I’m not at all impressed with Tesla quality.

Yes and no.  There’s a lot going on in that black area.  The holes are not spread out all over the place for styling reasons so it looks like less.

I drive or I watch. I hate being a passenger in a car. Especially a fast one. The only time I suck it up and tolerate it is being an instructor on track days or drivers schools.

Scary, but not really surprising.  😩

If the 3-series wagon is a manual, I’ll take that. If not, I’ll take the Miata RF - which damn well better be a manual.

It’s a tire for when... Wait a minute! 🤨
