I remember watching BTTC back in the 90's. Listening to Murray Walker was hilariously entertaining at times, but he said stuff that made me think WTF is he talking about? I wasn’t a big fan, obviously.

The announcer is an idiot.  He missed a bunch of crucial on-track drama and then got all excited about stuff that was nothing.  Still, always cool to see these old videos showing the various ways to go fast at the time.  I love how loose they are - whether by deliberate setup or just because the tires of the time…

I’m feeling like 800hp on a dirt hillclimb with a lot of tight corners is unusable. This thing was spinning the wheels across the length of the course. At any speed and in any gear. I wonder how it would do with some of those paddle-style tires like the dirt dragsters use?
