How often is it that the dunker winds up on his ass, the dunkee stays on his feet, but the dunker still manages to get the “he killed him RIP dunkee” headline?

As a Rockets fan, I celebrate the end of Clint Capela and his inability to make easy shots.

So I’m curious, why didn’t he just use your account to  try the games?

They probably aren’t making much money off of pirates. They are crippling their machines by doing this - it’s a solid move.

If they were to read the terms of service, they’d known about this, its their own fault.

So, you’re Nintendo. A rash of people steal a new game from one of your most popular IPs, and you’re not going to limit the access they have to further steal from you?

But when push comes to shove, no is always there for you. It is not foolproof—as, sadly, any sexual assault or rape survivor can attest—but when dealing with a boss whose goal is not to forcibly overtake you but instead to see how far he can push you, it may offer you an escape hatch.

If he knew the goods were stolen, he could be considered a fence, and charged for it. At least it works that way in most countries: knowingly acquiring stolen property (without the express intent of returning it to the owner) can be understood as participation in the original crime.

“I also reject the feminist messaging that treats gender issues as a zero-sum game—that assumes that to empower women, we must castrate men. You see the beginnings of this even in the schoolyard, with affirmations like, “Girls rule and boys drool.”

The “TOS’s aren’t legally binding” argument is completely defeated by its own premise.

Nah, Nintendo is actually fine with it. The 3DS is potentially nearing its end, like the GBA when the DS was released, and this will give them the chance to actually sell a few more consoles to the ones desperate enough to get out of the ban. Not to mention that those that do it will have to re-buy anything they owned

I don’t need numbers because quite frankly, it’s not my business. It’s Nintendo’s prerogative and Nintendo’s decision whether or not it makes sense for them. Clearly they believe it does, and it’s something that’s well within their rights to do.

Banning people who don’t buy your games from buying your games seems pretty reasonable to me.

... which is probably in the TOS. You own a license, which is probably revokable for acts of idiocy.

There is a pirate hack called freeshop, that let’s you enter a special version of the nintendo eshop and donwoload the games directly from the nintendo servers to install them for free, i guess that’s also what they are going after.

“TOS on Nintendo stuff is absolute bollocks, I would like to remind you.”

People really do need to learn to read the TOS...

If they’re not paying for Sun/Moon in the first place...

Fuck Mike Stoops. That’s absolutely despicable. I don’t care if Walker flipped two birds and grabbed his balls on the way out: For Stoops to throw Walker under the bus is atrocious.

This story just prompted me to watch the first episode. The concept is great but the writing turned me off...it’s just very MTV, if that makes any sense.
