All fair points, but…that soon after civilization broke down? That's where I'm finding it difficult to suspend my disbelief.

I don't understand why there's been no effort to find a Costco or a Walmart or even just a supermarket distribution center. Those must be everywhere in that region. The reboot of Terry Nations' "Survivors" on BBC has the sense to have their characters do that.
Until Ezekiel revealed that he acted in community theater, I assumed he was an SCA guy.
Much more likely to get MRSA in a hospital than in a trash pile.
I don't think this show is that self-aware.
Prune juice ought to do the trick.
And when Michonne grabbed Rick's hand — just before they took him up-up-up — I was expecting a "Captain, I'm frightened."
No, the Sanford and Son theme should go over the synchronized walking-into-the-dump scene; Rick's fight with Winslow needs the Star Trek Kirk-fights-(insert character or creature name here) music.
How did they lose normal American English language conventions so soon? What's it been, like three years or something since society collapsed? That's not long enough for "Take Rick to the top of that trash heap, the one overlooking Winslow's death pit" to become "Take Rick up-up-up." Or for them to have those weird,…
I'm glad to have Murphy back, too, and also glad I'm not the only one who noticed that!
I don't think we've heard the last of the religious nut from the TED talk on Jaha's tablet. You don't cast John Pyper Ferguson in a throwaway role.
Kyle, I think you missed two things, one more important than the other: 1) Murphy's motivation for stealing the radiation meds! At the very end, Murphy tells Emori that they have to go now, that he'll explain on the way, but that they have to be inside the ship when the doors close. Emori says that means they'll have…
Fat Joey couldn't trick Daryl on his best day; the pointed, long take of Daryl finding the gun on him after beating him to death was the show telling us, "Look! Daryl just found Rick's gun, which he can now return to Rick as a metaphor for returning Rick's power!"
Oh, definitely. I mean, how is evil D&D Pierce NOT a precursor to Negan?? :-D
Yeah, I even invoked him while posting here yesterday. Once I equated Fat Neil with Fat Joey, it was only a small step to start imagining Pierce as Negan.
Or Fat Neil.
Thanks, that was helpful. I remember it now! Maybe they shouldn't have months-long breaks in the season and small moments like that would have more impact!
Yeah, thanks, I don't actually need a refresher on the opening of Handel's Messiah. I have a degree in music, with a concentration on opera singing (so have sung in my share of Messiahs). I'm looking at from 12:48 to 14:00 here: http://www.amc.com/shows/th… To me it's clear that it's an absolutely straightforward…
Nope, I just revisited that segment; it's Dream Academy's "Life in a Northern Town." Edited to add: I doubt the people behind the TWD soundtrack would be that subtle in any case, and even if they *had* been, my hunch is that it would have gone unnoticed by 99% of the viewership, whose only familiarity with The Messiah…
Wow, I have absolutely no recollection of that happening with Spencer. Or even reading it in a recap anywhere. Any idea what episode that was?
