But in all seriousness I can’t not say here that of atheists and religious people that I know or am aware of, I tend to feel a lot more comfortable with atheists and find them to be more compassionate and moral persons.

But it’s never “I’m a satanist and I’m not comfortable working with a christian, you’re fired” or “I’m an atheist and we have no place for fairy tales here you’re fired” or “this place is for gays only, fuck off”. If it ever were suddenly there would be screaming about constitutional protection.

To respond “of course you can’t buy Greenland you fucking douche bag” would have been appropriate; their actual response was heroically diplomatic.

It might seem more reasonable to say “I can’t believe they took a day off!” or maybe “They earned a break” but 1) he’s such an asshat just assume he’s saying something stupid and 2) they obviously don’t do anything so to give some back ass complement like that hats so clearly off the mark well, just to hell with him.
