I gave it the pilot-plus-one viewing that I usually give to newbie series that have potential to be interesting/entertaining.

This really should've been switched…Married sent to FXX and YTW kept on the likelier-to-be-seen FX.
And thank god my provider caries FXX or I'd be a pissed beotch.
True, true.
I was just striking out on my own when MST3K was airing (and we recorded them on VHS to watch post-shift at the dinky bar I was working at) and I couldn't afford a computer. Nor for quite a few years after, so I missed the flame wars, except for the one that raged among my coworkers, I guess.
Well. way back when I was watching them roll out on TV, and just recently out on my own, I was too poor to have a computer. Looks like that was a good thing, grins.
Yup. You nailed it. Fun vs funny.
Sorry…didn't realize the debates were shunned here. Haven't been here long enough to be aware of that particular unspoken group dynamic, so my apologies if I've brought into play an old over-worked debate. I do know that it can be a little…"geez, not that again".
I am the dissenter that ADORES Joel. I hated it when Mike took over the SOL.
That always stoned look paired with his naturalness…the early days were magic, man. Magic.
Was just thinking, one of the things that makes this show so freaking awesome that wasn't really touched on in the review is the economy that is used with every character and every scene. Nothing is extra, and no little opportunity or space on the screen goes unused. They fit so much into this half hour that even…
And gotta agree, they shouldn't (and hopefully won't) shove them together just for the sake of couplehood…still, the look on Edgar's face. LeSigh.
Edgar smelling Lindsay's hair…omg so sweet. Lets hope next season she doesnt screw over another nice-guy. Ill miss her hubs, but I think thats a done deal.
That should've been an hour-long finale, and goddamnit, if it doesn't get renewed, FX really is getting punched in the clit.
I read that too
Eh, sure. And Gretchen might go for it, but suspect it's too low rent for Jimmy.
All that coke counteracts it.
I ditched it after episode 5.
I freely admit to hating it too. I'll stand by you.
I was rather vague…I didn't mean I thought Libby wouldn't believe it was her brother. I mean that because of her preconceptions, it was easier for her to believe it was something bad and/or immoral.
Finally cleared my way through some of the DVR buildup and watched this. I haven't read through all the responses, so surely I'm not the only one who might've read into Bills asshattery the same way… After a bit of OMGWTFBBQ, seemed to me that Bill was just stepping into his fathers role so that his brother could go…
I'm late to the party, having just gotten around to my DVR, but I am surprised as well about the Libby/Coral confusion.
I haven't watched the next episodes either so forgive me if I'm wrong, but it appears to me that it's pretty clear that:
Intruders. And I agree. What's interesting to me is that you'd think that it's existentialism would be interesting to those that enjoy The Leftovers. I find this much more interesting than The Leftovers, personally.
