Apropos of nothing, Brie and Metz both look amazing in the header image.

Right, I admit that my hearing is pretty bad but there was nothing in that audio that sounded like her calling Allison a bitch.

The audio sounds less like Chrissy Metz calling her a bitch and more like them recapping and making comments about how dumb their hosting banter was. I don’t hear anything that sounds remotely close to the word bitch.

Given what we know now, no one should be on speaking terms with Lena Dunham.

I love that she has the guts to clap back at these blowhards but is doing it in a way that is not calling them liars, sexists or alarmists, but by basically calling them idiots and making them prove their knowledge. I don’t think a lot of our politicians really know their stuff when it comes to constitutional law, tax

Individual voters did decide. Bernie Sanders lost.

Bernie’s proposed health care and the Republican health care system isn’t a fair comparison because a bill that doesn’t have its ducks in a row is never going to pass. It’s just grandstanding.

And out of curiosity how do you think parties started? No one handed Jefferson a boatload of cash and said “Here you are. You are now a political party and will win the presidency! LONG LIVE THE DEMOCRATIC-REPUBLICANS!” I suppose he had his own cash, but so does Sanders and many others.

Bernie Sanders was and is free to run for President. Nothing was stopping him, as a long-time professed independent and party unaffiliated candidate, from running as an independent candidate, unaffiliated with a political party.

The history of how those parties started is EXACTLY THAT. Someone wasnt happy with an existing party. They talked to others not happy with the existing parties. They formed their own party. They raised money. They fought that party.

Dems and Repubs cannot change the fact that if you get 5% of the vote you get federal funding. That is just fact. People claim Bernie was so popular he would have beat Trump. So why not go for that, of course he wouldnt have beaten Trump but with Bernie’s “massive popularity” he couldnt come up with 5%? Federal

Political parties and individuals are equivalent entities.

I disagree with your initial premise. If someone does not align themselves as a Democrat OR a Republican the onus is on them to start a new party. The government didnt always have Democrats and Republicans. They had different parties and those faded away and new ones formed. So I disagree that private political

I do deny that Bernie lost the nomination bc of the “Democratic Leadership.”

If Bernie was SO popular he could have gotten the 5% of the vote he needed in 2016 and ran his own campaign totally independently in 2020. But he didnt do that. So yeah, he should play by the Democrats rules if he wants their money and resources.

Except if you demand one party fund your campaign and help provide staff and give your the names of the donors and volunteers they worked so hard to get if you win the nomination you abso-fucking-lutely should be part of that organization.

No, I think she’s saying that only Democrats and Republicans have any claim to be the candidate for the Democratic and Republican parties, respectively. Independents who do not wish to participate in those party organizations are free to run as independents.

Let’s say I come into your house, uninvited, tell you how much you suck at cooking, and then demand you give me your credit card so I can order delivery. I then criticize your decor, start rearranging the furniture, and lecture you on how to raise your kids, even though I'm not a great parent.

She’s mastered that “Be polite around an insufferable dude or else people will think you’re the asshole” smile I think any woman over the age of 18 knows.

Any word on whether Bernie Sanders is going to actually BE AN ACTUAL MEMBER of the Democratic Party or is he just going to once again demand to receive the nomination of a political party to which he neither belongs nor pays dues nor fundraises?
