Agreed. It’s less of a dress than a bedspread.

Yeah, I think it looks better on her precisely because it needs boobs to hang off so it’s not flat.

I don’t get the shade thrown at Jameela Jamil here. Sure she’s had some missteps but she responds quickly and has shown willingness to learn. She is far more progressive in thinking and intersectional than your average pussy hat wearing white woman.

I love them both but I don’t understand how this dress is in any way aesthetically pleasing. Pockets are nice, tho.

CDC defines stillbirth as after 20 weeks.

I am local too. FB was (and still is) a cesspool of angry white women hell bent on seeing justice for a baby they wouldn’t give two shits about if it had lived.  No one cares about the facts, if there is a dead baby (fetus) then someone else must die too.

1) Comprehensive Sex education

The charges are such a hot button, especially in the midwest. The jury came back in just 5 hours and acquitted her of everything but what amounts to a blue law violation (imo, burying a family member yourself shouldn’t earn jail time). That’s pretty definitive.

Unfortunately, it’s never going to be enough for people

Do you believe the child was born live based on a feeling or based on evidence? What we do know as a recorded fact is that during an interrogation the police broke a woman following trauma and coerced a confession from her. The confession was to an action the medical examiner later said did not happen.

Why do you think you know better than the 12 people who actually heard the case and all the evidence?

Yes and also maybe better sex-ed to better identify signs of pregnancy as well as what to do in case of miscarriage or still birth. Most miscarriages can be disposed of at home legally, I and I think most teenagers don’t know at what point a person is required to keep and report remains of a miscarriage or still birth.

How late in pregnancy are you required to report a miscarriage? At one point does throwing out or flushing a miscarriage count as mishandling remains?

When we don’t provide safe, private options for people who make other decisions on how to enter adulthood, this or many other situations like it are inevitable.   She should have had a way out earlier if that was the choice she wanted to make.  Or a safe place to have and release a baby she was not ready to handle.

She should get therapy, not prison

It’s all very sad, and it seems like in this case, justice actually prevailed? Regardless of my opinion on this, it’s pretty clear that the admission was made out of fear and stress; coupled with the lies told by the coroner, it’s just ripe with issues.

“Have you tried teaching your sons to not be sexist little fucks?”

The teen girl’s mother has also been told by other parents that her daughters need to cover up for “the sake of their sons.”

How in the worlds an adult do you do that to a teen girl and not realize you are the villain in this story?

He was diagnosed with a psychological disorder. But I guess it’s not nearly as edgy to say “I wish he had gotten the help he needed.”
