UCCW is fine... once you learn how to use the darn thing. It must rank as one of the most unintuitive apps out there, by a long way.
Well Flirts nightclub was OK cool.
Kinda like the Angle Inlet is part of the US entirely enclosed by another country (Canada).
Also depending where you live you may not know that Delaware has a land border with New Jersey.
The Statue of Liberty is in New Jersey.
While I can appreciate the value of the tip about rearranging your taskbar icons to prevent errant clicks, you used the wrong apps to illustrate the point. Office apps can be clicked off before they open by hitting the 'x' in the corner of the splashscreen.
They can't afford me :)
Thanks for the compliment.
Yes and yes. The technology is here already in that new Motorola phone which listens for a voice command even when the phone is off. However I understand that piezoelectric crystals can be tuned to one frequency and will generate a voltage when they resonate. That voltage could be used to start a listening circuit…
Anyone with any sort of decent case for your phone like an Otter box for example beware. The NFC signal isn't strong enough to cover the extra distance caused by the case. Obviously results will vary per phone and case but Near Field means just that.
Yes and no. This is essentially an audio QR code except you don't need to switch on your camera and point it at the code the chirp is omnidirectional for the most part. Also computers can generate or detect the code, something they're not good at with QRs (detecting).
This would be great for two step authentication. Send a chirp to phone; play it to your computer/device; computer listens and gets verified. Ifi this is done instantaneously rather than every minute a la Google Authenticator there's no security risk from recording the chirp, especially if you use inaudible frequencies…
Similar but different; I've been meaning to post this a while. Verizon at least (and probably ATT because they're at each other's throats) let you change your data plan monthly. If you're on the tiered data plans you can have let's say 4gbytes as default. If you're going to go over that you can call and have them…
Mission accomplished then :)
I actually never heard the term fanbitch before so I claim it. I think I'm Alan Henry's Number One fanbitch. Intelligent guys are such a turn on :)
Interestingly enough it seems to me that fandude would be a compliment, of sorts. Even fanbitch doesn't seem to have negative connotations for women. I don't think I'd be too bothered at being called a fanbitch where fangirl would surely annoy the hell out of me.
In an ideal world there should be a device that looks identical* to the iPhone which runs Android. The iPhone has several things going for it which Android doesn't; the (almost) static form factor, the smooth touch and good looks, and the range of accessories. Along with that there should be a larger screen version of…
Calling someone a fan doesn't quite convey the sniffy, I'm superior to you condescension that fanboy does.
I was 15 and too busy shoplifting to know about that.
