That show is absolute dog shit. I tried to just have it on as background noise when I cooked, but I couldn't handle it. And I generally have a high tolerance for bad TV!

I always though Laurie ' s American accent sounded weird. He technically no longer sounds British, but I never thought he sounded really American.

I work at a library. When people ask about this book, I suggest just looking at the creepy, awesome pictures.

I had that issue with the source novel. I loved the first half, but the tone and focus shifted halfway through. I was substantially less interested in the latter half, and it did kind of feel like a "how many more YA tropes can we cram in here?" situation.

That's probably true. The title made me laugh, and that always makes me more interested in something/more predisposed to liking something.

It wouldn't surprise me.

The Batman sounds like something Lucille Bluth would suggest her kids go to while they're out seeing a Star War.

I don't like superhero movies, but I'd totally watch The Goddamn Batman.

The single creepiest guy I met in college—who had a ballistic meltdown on me in a class for getting an answer right that he didn't know and then started harassing me because we were in a group project together and he wanted to know what I was writing in my mandatory assessment about him—was a criminal justice major

It irritates me that detective shows/movies almost always indicate someone is guilty because they want an attorney and won't talk to police.

There is a group of really creepy old men (in their 60s and 70s now) where I live who all got mail order brides about ten years ago.

Me too! When I started watching Outlander, I was like, "Hey, it's Professor Brutus! Oh, now he's Captain Brutus!"

Same here.

I was wondering the same thing. Is Hinds really best known for his relatively small role in Game of Thrones? When I hear/read his name, I always immediately think of him in Rome, and the added Tobias Menzies connection just made it seem like a given. . . .

Same here!

The library I work at charges fines, but all of the other libraries in our consortium don't, so I'm wondering if we'll eventually stop charging as well.

I sat through this new MacGyver because I was too lazy to find the remote and change the channel.

I have sat through and will sit through a lot of shit for Powers Boothe, including but not limited to a really dull, low-budget 90s horror movie that only had 10 minutes of him smirking in it.

I love Glenn Howerton. I know most people's favorite It's Always Sunny character is Charlie, and I get that. I love Charlie. But Dennis is actually my favorite, and that's all because of Howerton.

I haven't seen it, but I'll add it to my to-watch list! I like how the 2nd sentence in its Wikipedia article is a very matter-of-fact "The film received poor reviews."
