That's a good question about the term in relation to class. I was reading some early Agatha Christie, mostly Poirot, at the time we had that conversation, and if I'm not mistaken, the characters were upper class. I think it was The Mysterious Affair at Styles, actually!

Yes overall I was impressed with Downton Abbey's historical accuracy for etiquette, though the storylines started making me crazy in the last 2-3 seasons.

Agreed! I also think a lot of Claire's behavior would raise eyebrows in the 1940s.

I agree with a lot of what you say. I enjoyed the first season, for the most part, though I thought the second half of it was pretty uneven.

I don't know a lot about nobility, but I was not impressed with the historical accuracy of the first book in general, especially since Gabaldon claims to research her books heavily.

Kind of funny though that he shared that scene with another character name Jamie. My first thought on seeing him at the start of that scene was run Jamie then i realized he is not Jack Black Randall.

Oh, I hadn't thought of that, but, yes, Rickman would have been awesome!

I always enjoyed the Duke, too. He was over-the-top, but I thought he always livened things up. Truthfully, the middle stretch of the second half of the first season was pretty boring to me, and he was one of the few things I enjoyed at that time.

I am definitely one of the people who doesn't know how to do a fake candid photo face. I always look confused or scared because they take the picture while I'm desperately trying to think of a face.

Yep, pretty much! :)

Oh that's cool about the ship!

Haha That's a great question!

I have actively rooted for the bad guy in almost every single movie/show I've watched ever since I was a kid. I blame my childhood love for Skeletor.

Haha I do the same thing! I also quote that video all the time! I have a really hard not pronouncing the name Becca the way he does now.

I support this. Winnie shouldn't be forced into man-made fabrics! Winnie's a free bear!

I know that, but I don't think many people buy them for their kids. ;)

I'm thinking they might need to rethink any plans to market movie tie-in Halloween costumes for Winnie the Pooh.

What I really want to know is will live action Winnie still be half-naked?

For what it's worth, it made me laugh really hard. :)

Agreed!
