Thanks! That was interesting! And I can't believe I've never heard of that channel before!

That sounds really interesting! I'm a fairly casual Tolkien fan, but I find WWI fascinating (and horrifying). I'll have to see if my library has this book!

I found Kostova's The Historian equal parts interesting and frustrating when I read it a few years ago. I loved the parts set in the 1950s and the 1930s, and the author's take on Dracula was one I hadn't seen before.

Yeah another poster and I were discussing this—there are definitely several instances of sexual assault in the show. Not as graphically depicted as in Game of Thrones, but to claim it isn't there is just inaccurate.

That's interesting! I have never read the comic, so I had wondered if there was a difference.

I actually stopped watching before Slabtown and Terminus popped up as storylines, so I wasn't aware if it was a recurring issue. That makes sense, though.

Very true. This one just seemed particularly egregious!

This was one of the primary reasons I quit watching the show. No sane person would follow Rick Grimes to McDonald's for a burger run, let alone throughout a zombie apocalypse.

I would watch that show in a heartbeat! They wouldn't even have to ever successfully solve a crime. I'd watch it just to hang out with them every week.

I'm sorry, but this article reads like one of those terrible freshman comp essays written at the last minute that I had to read and grade as a TA. Siede just cherry-picks evidence and minimizes and even blatantly ignores facts to support her argument. I think this would be more interesting if the article was "I know

I'm ashamed that I watched far enough into it before quitting that I do know what that means.

One thing that Game of Thrones does better than any other show, I think, is odd couple road trip awesomeness. Any time a new dynamic like that pops up, I want a spinoff—Brienne and Jaime, Arya and The Hound, Brienne and Pod, Jaime and Bronn, Varys and Tyrion. They're all gold.

It's also strongly implied that the group Randall was with in season 2 were not above rape.

A-fucking-men. That's why I stopped watching midway through season 4.

Do you have to use so many cuss words?

The man in the black pajamas.

Thanks for the recommendation! I had never heard of it before, but I just listened to and loved the soundtrack, and every thing I've read about the movie seems really promising. I'm definitely going to give it a try.

I watched the video just to see this eye-roll. You and Ignatiy did not disappoint me.

We're sympathizing here, Dude.

No funny stuff.
