It was, but it isn’t Star Wars. Most of it’s charm is derived from the performances of the actors.

I agree he could make it work, but I can think of several directors that could make it work better.

Howard has never done a scify action movie. Why let him start with Solo? He is a competent director, but yeah... I got a bad feeling about this.

Eventually, your trees get too big for that to work. Even with my biggest ladder with the saw on a pole (and me sober), there is no way I’m getting limbs down responsibly without hitting my neighbors. Now I just give the nice Hispanic men $300, make a cocktail, and watch the man version of Cirque du Soleil. It is way

You can get a Remington for under $75 on Amazon. It doesn’t have that huge of a reach. You can stand on a ladder, but that gets a bit precarious. My wife is a nurse. Many middle aged men end up in the ER doing stuff like that.

I’ve played enough Doom to know that isn’t true.

“Hey!” I thought. “I played this game as a kid. It’s a cartoon. Maybe my kids would like it.”

I’m preparing myself for the worst and most likely reason: the movie is a turd. I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

I’m guessing this is just a ploy to move money from one company to another. War in space is ridiculously expensive. There is no point to it.

The Eve Online Dominix is still my favorite.

Gosh. It is almost like a data set that could be used by Mercer’s Cambridge Analytica and Russian hackers manipulating state voter roles.

I didn’t really care for this episode. Frankly, I kept drifting off. They show the world of the Light Eaters as just a big blue void with tons of them. A hand full of humans walk off to fight them forever. How? They would just be floating out there until they got eaten. Or died from lack of water.

I grew up with guns too. I had free reign with a semi-automatic .22 at age 12. I love them. They are fun. They have also killed more people I know than anything else including car crashes, cancer, and heart disease. Those are split evenly between accidents, suicide, and violence.

Thing is, everyone who owns a gun swears they are an expert on gun safety. There is nothing to really check to see if they are. That is why we get toddlers shooting their parents and siblings. I have relatives that teach CHL classes that leave a pistol lying around with a 5YO. Some people get into this fetish mindset

Gun ownership is both a risk and benefit to society. The question becomes “How do we manage that risk?” We already have a mechanism for assigning value to risk: insurance. That is the only probable answer to the gun debate. Require gun owners to have insurance on their weapons. Let the free market work out the

That has very real unintended consequences. Most domestic disputes happen over money. Someone with a felony conviction is very likely to be limited to low wage jobs. That creates more domestic disputes. That doesn’t keep someone from getting a gun, but does exacerbate the conditions that they use one in an act of

Don’t give me that nonsense. The birds came back! The birds came back!

I don’t know if I would go that far, but it is certianly good TV.

If you like weird shit like the first two seasons of Lost, yes. It is a damn sad show though.

No show has replaced what BSG was. The closest we got is Dark Matters.
